This is the third blog in the Decision making series. You can read the previous blogs here: Introduction, DecisionMaking Frameworks.
The considerations for decision making that we talked about in the Introduction pair with one another and create some interesting combinations that determine our toolbox and hence the effectiveness of decisions.
One of the common pair is Complexity Vs Time.

Complexity Vs Time in Decision making
High Complexity, Low Time Pressure situations help you build rigour and make Data, Processes as your friend.
High Complexity, High Time Pressure situations need you to act in uncertainty, with little time. Hence perfectionism & conservative risk taking can become a bottleneck.
Low Complexity, Low time pressure situations ask you not to overthink and conserve mind space.
Low Complexity, High time pressure situations ask you to make the decision quickly and conserve time.
Some of the frameworks and models are listed above that one could use to proceed with decision making.
Pointers to the decision maker are
All decisions do not need same kind of mind space, rigour and data
Perfectionism, overthinking, risk aversiveness can come in the way of decision making
Make decisions with intention.
What kind of intention and process do you use in your decision making?
